I have a semi-sizable group over on Flickr, with 90 members (and a high level of posting to the pool), some of whose members I hope will blog here. This blog will function as an extension of (or maybe even partial replacement) for that group. I'm not going to try to get all 90 people to post to this one blog, because that would be a mess, but I am setting up more than one group blog. The blogs will interlink and collectively form a community with a shared twitter (look to your right) and update notification options.
We will be writing about Virtual Worlds and what takes place in them, with a lot of pictures being shared, I hope. By the way - if you are a prospective member of this blog, and, having taken a look at its sisters on Tumblr and Wordpress.com though "no fair! they have static pages and we don't, really", then take a look at the links in the sidebar. If you become a member of this blog, you'll also become a member of this side blog, as well, where you will be able to set up posts on the side that will serve in lieu of static pages, of which a blog on Blogger can only have ten, I understand.
It's not a perfect system, but it would seem to be the best that the system will let us do.
